MAJOR PROGRAMS INCLUDE:

Emergency food pantry which cares for an average of 180 families in crisis per month who are in need of food. They are helped for a few days to bridge through the crisis.  Families are limited to two visits for our services per year. The food pantry is open M-F from 10am-noon.


Emergency clothing with a focus on school children.  This program also includes shoes for children who have a referral from their teacher or school counselor. Please call Inner City for more information.

GED program for volunteers. Please contact Inner City for specific details on getting involved.

Spring basketball league for over 100 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Registration for the spring league usually begins in February. Please check our News page for specific dates and upcoming details. 

An extensive summer program provided free of charge for over 300 children in the immediate neighborhood. Please check our News page where we will post dates and details regarding registration

Summer job-training program for neighborhood youth who volunteer for the summer program. Please check our News page where we will post dates and details regarding registration

Christmas Toy Sale where toys are sold to neighbors in need at extremely low prices (10% of the original price) so that they may pick out what THEY want to give to their children for Christmas without having to suffer the economic crisis of the Christmas season when they are already on an extremely limited budget.


ADDITIONAL ON-GOING SERVICES:

Many special activities such as informal counseling for individuals and families.

Through providing the use of the facility, Inner City supports neighborhood family events such as baby showers, wedding receptions and funeral receptions.  

Extensive community service opportunities for persons serving probation, or doing assigned community service hours for school or church.
